Unit 6: Exercises for Mind-Body-Spirit Wellness and Healing

Unit 6: Exercises for Mind-Body-Spirit Wellness and Healing

Describe the exercise and assessment process. What did you discover about yourself? What area have you chosen to be a focus of growth and development? Why? What are some specific exercises or activities that you can implement to foster greater wellness in this area?

The exercise on our personal assessment made me think about what I need to accomplish for me to grow and develop as a person I want to be. What I discovered about myself is I am moving in the right direction but need to work on inter personal growth and let the past go. I also see the need to get more out of my job, I like what I do I am a pastry Chef but want to help people in my community ,I have a job offer to work with adults with special needs but for some reason I am unsure why I don’t go forward and take this job. I don’t know if I am scared to change jobs right now or what or is it if I don’t like it I gave up a job that I can’t go back to for finical security?

Some of the specific activities I am going to implement in my life is taking martial arts to get my focus back ,this really helps me to focus on my spiritual me, focusing on physical and mental aspects  of my life as well. I wll  also practice calm abiding exercise to calm and quite my mind to see what is my hang up for not letting the past go, I really need to get rid of this because it is really affecting me internally. The last one on my list is getting in touch with my community and making a difference in other peoples lifes, finding a job not just for a pay check but to make a difference in fulfilling my inner needs as well as others.

  1. Hello,

If the job is not the right one then it is not ment to be but if it is the right one you should take the chance. I think it would be a good idea to meditate on it and see why you are reluctant to take it. Is is because of fear or is it because it is not the job you are looking for? Only you can answer that. You seem to think about it further at the end of your blog post too.

Martial arts is a great way to build strength, stamina, discipline, and confidence. I am all for it. I you picked a specific one?

I wish you the best of luck.

PS. Why the Black background with white letters? It is a little difficult to read.
